Christopher Columbus Charter School’s Title l Program
The Title I Program (part of the Every Student Succeeds Act, the education law signed by President Obama in December 2015) is a federally funded program designed to provide supplemental services in reading and math to the children in the public and non-public schools who are not achieving at the levels expected of children of their age and grade placement.
Christopher Columbus Charter School offers Title Reading and Math support to their students. Appropriately certified teachers supplement classroom instruction through guided practice and reinforcement activities.
All students in Christopher Columbus Charter School’s schoolwide Title I programs are eligible to receive Title I services.
Parent Involvement
To increase parental awareness of and active participation in various Title Programs implementations,
Christopher Columbus Charter School provides the following resources and forums for all parents:
- An overview of the Title I program and related information during the annual Title I parent Meeting
- A school-based Parent Advisory Council
- An open invitation to contact the State and Federal Programs Liaison and Title I staff whenever the need arises.
- An opportunity, through a spring Needs Assessment survey, for parents to actively express their specific concerns for the following school year.
